Extraordinary, beautiful, rare and exciting action photographs of PIA airliners

PIA Boeing 747-240B (SCD)

Boeing 747-240B (SCD)  (Amir Saeed Collection)

From Amir's collection of rare PIA photos, here is another great photo of AP-BAK. The beautiful and elegant brand new Pakistani Boeing 747 is seen on the delivery line going through pre-delivery checks. The photo was taken at Boeing Facility in Everett, Washington, USA. AP-BAK was delivered to PIA in August of 1979

PIA Boeing 707-340C

Boeing 707-340C  (Frederick N. Ley Collection)

This very rare color photograph from 1966 belongs to Fred's collection. The photo shows AP-AUN after arriving at Karachi Airport, Pakistan. Note the PIA air-hostess in early 1960s uniform ready to greet disembarking passengers. Also note the opened main cargo door of the forward upper fuselage; the 707 was used as a 'Combi' aircraft for this flight
