Karim
Collection) |
|
|
This
extremely rare photo from Ajaz Karim's collection shows AP-AUT
of PIA. PIA operated two Lockheed L-100s, AP-AUT & AP-AUU,
for a very short period of time in 1966. Both of these transport
aircraft were later transferred to Pakistan Air Force in 1966.
AP-AUT still serves PAF and its air force serial number is 64144 |

AP-BFU
flown by Capt. Asif Abbas Raza and his crew is seen landing on
runway 27L of London-Heathrow Airport. Umar took this photo on
August 28, 1999. A 747-300 holds the record of operating PIA's
longest non-stop commercial flight. PIA's Boeing 747-300 flight,
carrying 149 passengers, landed at Islamabad Airport non-stop
from New York in June of 1999 in just 12 hours and 35 minutes |
