Squash legend Jehangir Khan in 1989 PIA advertisement. Jehangir is one of the greatest players in the history of International Squash. Trained by PIA under the colts scheme, Jehangir Khan became world's youngest amateur squash champion at the age of 15. The great Khan, also known as 'King of Squash', holds the world record of winning the British Open title for ten successive years from 1981 to 1990. No other player in the 71-year British Open history has won the title ten years in a row. Jehangir appeared in a number of PIA advertisements and PIA Squash Complex in Karachi is named as Jehangir Khan Squash Complex

Pakistan and international cricket's star all-rounder Wasim Akram in 1989 PIA advertisement. Wasim is one of best left arm pace bowlers in the history of world cricket. As an all-rounder Wasim played important role for Pakistan team which won 1992 Cricket World Cup. In Pakistan's domestic cricket, Wasim represented PIA cricket team. Images of Wasim Akram appeared in a number of PIA advertisements, PIA-issued postcards and on cover of airline's in-flight magazine 'Humsafar'. Wasim Akram also appeared in a number of PIA TV commercials

Pakistan cricket team batsman Shoaib Mohammad in 1989 PIA advertisement. Son of legendry batsman Hanif Mohammad, good looking and stylish Shoaib Mohammad was a solid batsman, useful occasional off-spinner and agile fielder. Shoaib played for PIA team in Pakistan's domestic cricket tournaments
