This photo taken in 1969 by Peter shows AP-AUV parked at
Kathmandu Airport in Nepal. In 1969, Peter was briefly attached
to the British High Commission in New Delhi and spent August 30
to September 1, 1969 visiting Kathmandu. Whilst Peter was there
he took this colour slide ramp shot of AP-AUV at Kathmandu
Airport. AP-AUV was delivered by Fokker Company to PIA as brand
new aircraft on June 14, 1967. On December 30, 1970, with 4 crew
members and 31 passengers on board, AP-AUV crashed and burned
near Shamshernagar Airport in East Pakistan. Unfortunately 7
